Windows 7: Ghost and Ports USB 3.0. You need to load the USB 3 Host Controller and Hub drivers at the beginning of the restore process. Then the reimage software should see the disk and image. With Windows imaging you go to the driver option and select the 2 appropriate.inf files. A 30min reimage becomes 10 min.

I am trying to image a tablet using Norton Ghost 11.5. I am doing this on a Windows 7 Ultimate workstation. I need to add a network driver for a USB to Ethernet adapter I am using to network this tablet to the ghost server but I'm having problems.

When I try to add the driver normally using the Ghost Boot Wizard, I receive this error:

When I try to load the driver in WinPE using drvload.exe, I receive the error: 0x80070002

I am now trying to add the driver directly to the boot.wim that I copied from Ghost using DISM, but when I attempt to /add-driver I receive this error:

Here are the last few lines of the DISM.log:

EDIT: I just looked for this path: c:mountWindowsSystem32Dismdismprov.dll and it does not exist. This boot.wim is the vista x86 boot image that is included with Ghost. Is this wim not compatible with Dism?

Our IT department uses an archaic version of Symantec Ghost (Console and Standard Tools) that I've not been able to successfully install on a computer with Windows 10 already installed on. I have it on a couple of my computers that are running Windows 10 but it was installed prior to an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 from either Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.

Every time I try to install Symantec Ghost 11 it pops up the warning that it's not supported by my OS but that I can continue the install (this message has popped up since Windows 7 and continuing the install process always works out). It'll go through all the install options and actually through the installation process of copying the files to Program Files(x86). When it reaches the end of the install it rollsback the installation and comes up to the finish screen with the message that the wizard was interrupted. I searched Google for answers and couldn't really find much about Symantec Ghost 11 and this issue (probably because no one uses it anymore). I tried some things suggested with similar error messages received during installation (running in compatibility mode, run as admin, change Local Security Policy to add my username to the 'Impersonate client after authentication', running from a clean boot, running from safe mode, using the ISO from our network share rather than the one I had copied to my computer just to rule out corrupt files and some other little things). None of this has made any different results.

Ghost 11.5 Add Network Drivers For Windows 7

I talked to one of our other techs and he said he got it to successfully install some time ago on Windows 10 but couldn't remember how he did it. I created a log file of the MSI and I'm not very good at reading log files. I did find a 1603 error in there which I researched and found to be a somewhat generic error. I tried some of the suggested fixes I found and still nothing. Below is a link to my Google Drive of the log file if anyone can make more sense of it. If you have any suggestions to try I would be very grateful as I've pretty much ran out of options. See the log file below:

Thanks in advance!
